Ted Kubala

Founder and President | The Pilot Group LLC

Mr. Kubala is the founder and President of The Pilot Group, LLC, a consulting firm that specializes in assisting its clients with implementing Supply Chain/Value Chain solutions.

For more than twenty five years, Mr. Kubala has managed the operations of manufacturing and distributing companies.

He has been responsible for the development of profit improvement programs, as well as for the design, development, and implementation of manufacturing, distribution, order processing and financial management support systems.

Experience

Mr. Kubala’s consulting experience has focused on the diagnosis and solution of operations management and supply chain problems, and the deployment of best practice solutions, for clients in the aerospace, computer, electronics, health care, printing and metalworking industries.

Prior to establishing The Pilot Group, Mr. Kubala was National Director of Manufacturing Consulting for the information technology group within GE, and, previously, Midwest Director of Manufacturing Consulting with KPMG Peat Marwick. He has also held positions in industry including Group Industrial Engineer, Group Materials Manager, and Vice President - Manufacturing, for two manufacturing firms serving OEM, aerospace, and distributor markets.

Education

Mr. Kubala holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Notre Dame, Bachelor of Arts degree in Applied Behavioral Sciences and Economics, and has completed post graduate studies in manufacturing cost management at the Harvard Business School.

He has developed presentations for the National Association of Accountants, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, SME National Conference, Advanced Manufacturing Systems Expo, INFO/ MANUFACTURING, GUIDE, IBM Manufacturing Executive Forums, and various user groups. He is a member of the Association for Manufacturing Excellence, and the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals.
